More than finding the characteristics and renowned Italian specialties, here, you could know and taste the authentic flavours of Sicily. This is possible by different kinds of sheep cheese, sausages and bacon San Angelo, olive oil from upland Monti Iblei that we have but also from our wide range of 180 types of wine (80% of them are Sicilian). But not just this. We have also homemade pasta sauce from sun-dried tomatoes, Sicilian pasta (busiata and other), pesto, marinated olives, tomatoes and Sicilian caponata. End your Sicilian feast with a Bell Caffé coffee and chocolate from the famous Modica (town in the southeastern part of Sicily).

A Putia is not just a shop. A Putia is an idea, the memories of home, the will to show the unicity and the variety of the tastes, colours and smells that this island could give to the rest of the world. Sicily – nine provinces, nine nations, nine different dialects and maybe even more. However, it is necessary to understand one element – what the  hot-blooded residents of the biggest Italian island are not able to explain with words, they tell you with ther eyes, gestures, and if still you’re not able to perceive, you have to listen and talk to their hearts …

Mr. Salvatore Ciancimino,  born in Sciacca, travelled in various European countries as a chef and 18 years ago came to the Czech Republic. The idea to show what is his homeland and what is its Enogastronomical culture was realized at the beginning of 2008.

The first step to create conciousness about what is Sicily, was the opening A Putia shop.
A Putia in Sicilian dialect means old grocery shop. The 60% of the products you find in the shop come from Sicily, while the other 40%  from other Italian regions.
